NirvaGuide Privacy Policy

Effective date: 17 August 2026

Summary: NirvaGuide is designed as a local-first application. Working data is stored on the user's device. NirvaGuide does not require an account and does not contain advertisements. Users can create a portable encrypted backup file that they control.

1. About NirvaGuide

NirvaGuide helps families organize practical administrative steps after the death of a family member, including checklists, documents, contacts, notes, reference numbers and follow-up information.

2. Information the app can access or store

Depending on the features a user chooses to use, NirvaGuide may store information entered by the user, such as checklist progress, notes, reference numbers, follow-up dates and saved contact details. Users may also choose to select contacts from their phone and add documents or files for use within the app.

This information is used to provide the app's organizational features. NirvaGuide is designed so that its working data remains locally on the user's device rather than being stored in a NirvaGuide cloud account.

3. Contacts and documents

Access to phone contacts occurs only when the user chooses a feature that selects a contact from the device. Documents are added when the user chooses to select and store a file for use in NirvaGuide. These items are used for the functions requested by the user.

4. Backup and restore

NirvaGuide allows the user to create an encrypted, portable backup file. The backup is user-controlled and can be retained, transferred or restored by the user. NirvaGuide does not operate a cloud account for storing these backups.

5. Data sharing and advertising

NirvaGuide does not sell user data. The app does not contain advertisements or advertising SDKs. NirvaGuide does not require users to create or sign in to a NirvaGuide account.

If a user deliberately uses an operating-system sharing, calling, messaging, file-selection or external-link function, the selected external app or service may process information according to that service's own privacy practices.

6. Official and external sources

NirvaGuide may provide links to external or official information sources. Opening an external link takes the user outside NirvaGuide, and the destination website's privacy practices apply.

7. Security

NirvaGuide is designed to keep working data on the user's device and to use an encrypted format for user-created portable backups. Users remain responsible for protecting access to their device and for securely storing backup files they create.

8. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored information remains on the user's device until the user removes it through the app, clears the app's storage, or uninstalls the app, subject to Android device and backup behavior. User-created backup files remain wherever the user has chosen to save or copy them until the user deletes those files.

Because NirvaGuide does not require a NirvaGuide account, there is no NirvaGuide cloud account to delete.

9. Children's privacy

NirvaGuide is intended as a practical administrative tool for adults and is not designed for children.

10. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when NirvaGuide's features or data-handling practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
